The Street & Fleet Division oversees vehicle fleet and equipment maintenance, roadway repair, street sign installation and maintenance, storm drainage, heavy and light construction projects, winter maintenance, street-sweeping and right-of-way clearing.
The Streets & Fleet Division is responsible for over 132 assets in the fleet division, including vehicles and heavy construction equipment maintenance, roadway repair, street sign installation and maintenance, storm water drainage, heavy and light construction projects, winter maintenance, street-sweeping, and right-of-way clearing. The Division maintains 132 miles of Township roads and over 320 cul-de-sacs.
The sweeping program can begin as early as January depending on weather conditions and continues through June. If there is a heavy winter build-up of anti-skid material on the roads, the program may extend into the summer.
Road repairs begin as early as March and are completed prior to the resurfacing program. Potholes are patched on a consistent basis. Direct issues regarding resurfacing should be reported to the Engineering and Environmental Services department at 724-776-4806.
