On April 2, 2009, Cranberry Township’s Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a new comprehensive plan which was developed over a period of several years, extending to 2030. The Cranberry Plan will guide the Township’s policies and legislative agenda throughout that period. Developed with extensive input from local residents, as well as Township staff and outside consultants, the plan is comprehensive, detailed and flexible.

During the next 25 years, conditions in the community will change due to unexpected economic, social and technological changes. In some instances, these factors may prove to be dramatically different from present conditions. Close monitoring and regular public updates will ensure that this plan remains a useful guide.

On November 3, 2016, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Cranberry Plan Update. The Cranberry Plan, the Township’s comprehensive plan which guides policies and legislative agenda through 2030, will be regularly updated over the course of its lifetime.

What is an update?
It’s a progress report. A chance to learn about the progress the Township is making in implementing the strategies outlined in the 2009 Cranberry Plan since it was adopted.

On October 27, 2016 the Board of Supervisors heard a presentation summarizing the update, process, and findings.

The Cranberry Plan Update is available in print form, from the Cranberry Township Municipal Center Customer Service counter and the Cranberry Public Library.
