A community effort to help mature drivers be confident in how well their vehicles ‘fit’ them is set for later this month.
A free CarFit Check is scheduled for noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 21 in the parking lot of Dutilh Church, 1270 Dutilh Road, Cranberry Township.
CarFit is an educational program created by the American Society on Aging and developed in collaboration with AARP and the American Occupational Therapy Association that offers older adults the opportunity to check how well their personal vehicles "fit" them. The program provides information and materials on community-specific resources that could enhance their safety as drivers and/or increase their mobility in the community.
The event is free. For more information or schedule an appointment, contact the Police Department at 724-776-5180.
