A new training facility isn’t coming from left field with its expansion plans.
The athletic training and coaching facility occupies a former sheet metal fabrication building at 9043 Marshall Road.
Under the proposal, a 34,060 square-foot artificial turf field would be added to the facility to allow additional training space. The field would be surrounded by a 40-foot netting to ensure safety. Additional parking space will also be added as part of the project.
Following a public hearing, the Board of Supervisors approved the expansion at the March 3 meeting.
