    Clear Snow From Fire Hydrants

    Please clear snow and ice from any fire hydrant near your home or business.

    Please clear at least 3 feet around the hydrant and make sure it’s visible from the street.

    During an emergency, every second counts. Hydrants buried in snow can delay firefighters’ access to water and slow critical response efforts when lives and property are at risk.

    Parks & Rec Program Update

    All Parks & Recreation programs at the Municipal Center are canceled today, (Mon. Jan. 26), due to inclement weather. Evening programs, including fitness classes and basketball practices, are also canceled.

    SNOW REMOVAL UPDATE

    Township crews continue plowing roads as snow persists. Crews will be focusing on Township cul-de-sacs, with more than 300 requiring clearance to ensure emergency access.

    As snow removal continues, snow piles along roadways will be high. For everyone’s safety, please discourage children from building or playing on snow piles along the sides of roads.

    SNOW CONDITIONS ON ROADWAYS

    Roads remain snow-covered. Please avoid walking or running on roadways. Most businesses in Cranberry Township are closed. As crews continue clearing the roads, please limit car travel whenever possible. Thank you.

    TRASH DELAY

    Due to weather conditions, garbage pickup in the Township will be delayed by one day. Please keep trash cans off roadways so plow trucks can pass safely. Vogel Disposal will follow a holiday schedule, with all routes delayed by one day this week.

    SNOW UPDATE

    Cranberry Township snow plow trucks will be on the roads all day and night. Please do not stop plow drivers. For everyone’s safety, keep children off roadways and out of plow paths.

    When clearing sidewalks and driveways, do not push or throw snow back into the street, as this creates hazards and slows plowing operations.

    Winter Storm Update

    The National Weather Service has announced that snow will arrive in SWPA between 2-4 am on Sunday, Jan. 25. PLEASE move all cars from Township roads to ensure for safe passage of snow plows and emergency vehicles. Thank you!

    WINTER STORM INFORMATION!

    On-street parking is prohibited during the storm. Vehicles may be ticketed and/or towed for snow plow access or emergencies.

    All Parks & Recreation programs are CANCELED on Sunday, January 25. The Cranberry Township Municipal Center and the Cranberry Public Library are also CLOSED on Sunday.
